The physician appointment and approval of medical staff status change presented below has been professionally reviewed and recommended for the status shown. The Board of Commissioners will be notified confidentially when there are physicians herein who have any malpractice claims or professional sanctions when such specific cases have not previously been presented to the Board of Commissioners. Additional information concerning such matters will be available on a confidential basis through the Secretary of the Board.

ENRIQUE MARTINEZ, M.D. - Promoted from Attending Physician Senior 6, Department of Medicine, Division of General Medicine, to Associated Medical Director 8, Department of Ambulatory and Community Health Network, Division of Fantus Health Center, will be paid at Grade K-8, Step 3 from Account 126, 893/790, sequence #035100 and 040000, effective May 16, 2000; subject to approval by the Cook County Board.

Commissioner Daley, seconded by Commissioner Lechowicz, moved to suspend the rules so that this matter may be considered. The motion carried unanimously.

Commissioner Daley, seconded by Commissioner Maldonado, moved that the request of the Chief Operating Officer of Cook County Hospital be approved. The motion carried unanimously.
