Jay Chandrasekhar, an Indian-American, is a leading member of the Broken Lizard comedy team. The Lizards met at Colgate University, where Chandrasekhar studied in the early 1990s. With the cult hit Super Troopers, Chandrasekhar made his name as a filmmaker in the goofball tradition of Animal House. Chandrasekhar directed the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie, which became the number one movie in the country. More recently, Jay directed the film Beerfest.
